married: Jonathan and Kim at Mount Philo
Loved working with these guys. Found myself melting behind the camera. They were fun, comfortable and incredibly silly with killer smiles. Jonathan and I have known each other from afar, but hadn’t met until his wedding day. See, he’s a fellow Vermont photographer (check him out here!) and reached out to say hello years ago when we were both new to the scene up here. It was an honor getting the call to be Kim and Jonathan’s wedding photographer.
As far as backdrops go, you couldn’t beat this place. Nestled at the base of Mount Philo, the wedding started after ominous clouds and rainfall moved along and gave us lovely evening light. While I’m sure Kim was tending to the details of the wedding and reception, Jonathan kept me up to date on the wind, lighting and direction of the ceremony. Well played. Guests were cozy in the couple’s barn and many were busy taking their own photos of the dramatic Lake Champlain views.
Congratulations Coutures! You two had a beautiful late summer day and I loved spending it with you. Here’s to many happy years ahead!
