married: Abby and Scott’s Vermont wedding
These two had fun on their wedding day. Between the hugs, the tear-bursting laughter, the toasts (oh god the toasts!) and the barn-rumbling dancing, Abby and Scott put the party into their wedding. They were married at a gorgeous private property called Squabetty. I had never seen Mount Mansfield from this perspective. It was a striking location. The guests were shuttled up the long, winding, gravel driveway (read: mountain road) on school buses. This added a little adventure to their homegrown Vermont wedding. This was the only element that did not go as planned, but I always love a little spontaneity on the big day because it makes for great stories. Nobody will ever forget the school bus debacle.
Abby and Scott, this post is for you. Many thanks again for having me there on your big day. It was an absolute pleasure. May all the days to come produce as much laughter and happy tears as this one did. Congratulations.
The men proved their brawn by pushing the school bus out of the muddy incline situation it succumbed to. They earned their beers for the evening.
